Business Development Manager 

Location: Hinsdale/Oakbrook,IL

Job Purpose or Summary: The Business Development Manager (BDM) is an entrepreneurial, self-motivated individual who excels at building new relationships, maintaining key relationships, organizing community outreach programs, and working in a team environment.  The BDM is expected to build and foster referral relationships that yield regular client leads. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include: 

  1. Building and maintaining relationships with referral sources in the community to generate brand awareness and new clients for Home Care Assistance
  2. Making frequent sales calls and tracking all activity within our CRM (Clear Care)
  3. Promoting our services in a professional and creative manner
  4. Building a target list of high-value referral sources and implementing a 3-6 month relationship building effort with each target, with in-person interactions on a weekly or biweekly basis. You should expect to have 15-25 high-value targets at any given time
  5. Maintaining accurate records on all prospective and active referral accounts.  Preparing reports of marketing activities and effectiveness.
  6. Representing Home Care Assistance in networking groups, at events, on committees and in other community settings
  7. Managing special campaigns and events
  8. Participating in management team strategic planning activities, identifying opportunities to improve services and better meet client’s needs
  9. Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of HCA markets, key referral sources and position in the market related to competitors
  10. Communicating with the client service team to ensure client satisfaction
  11. Working collaboratively with staff to assure consistent message to the customers and the community
  12. Completing all call schedules, sales reports, and expense reports in a timely manner
  13. Meeting monthly and quarterly targets for new contacts, accounts and referrals
  14. Performing other duties as assigned
